#1 Zettelkleid

Our first "Tina“ advertising column was full of quotes on little papers. We put 8 yellow rings on the column which represented the 8 chapters of the story. Then everyone picked his favorite quotes and we put them on the appropriate ring.

For the opening we turned the traffic island in some kind of living room and handed out soup and beer for free.

#2 Tina Comic

Our second "Tina“ was a translation of Arno Schmidt's Story into a comic. Every project participant got a chapter and illustrated it in his or her own way. The chapters got put up on our column.

Thanks to the "Arno Schmidt Foundation" we were able to publish 300 copies of our comic.

#3 Kiosk from the inside

That time we decided to have a closer look on the inside of the kiosk the fictional character Tina is working in. Therefore we created a huge collage that also shows the twisted mind of Tina, a woman that is already 200 years old.

For this event we gave away sticker booklets, so every visitor can create his own collage at home.

#4 Public Reading & Individual Ideas

Everyone was allowed to put his own interpretation of the Tina up our column.

To complement the concept of individual interpretations we had a reading of Tina in the Zoo Bar in Darmstadt. Every reader got one chapter and performed it in his or her own way.

#5 Summer Break

With this one we wanted to let the viewer experience a disruption in his usual way of looking at things. Therefor we used a photo of our advertising column that was taken when Arno Schmidt still lived in the house next to it and put it up on the column. This doubling effect that shows past and present lets people think of the time in between.

With this posting we also started our summer break. The traffic island got turned into a garden and the window of Tinas kiosk showed a closed curtain. For the opening we also attached a swing on the tree and started a public bookcase in the phone booth.

#6 Announcements

Because this was the last time we had an event at Tina's advertising column. We decided to reuse the first graphics on it. This time we  used it the way it usually is used, to announce something.

We announced our final event at the 11.11.2014 – the reading that will take place in our faculty. Jan Philipp Reemtsma, Bernd Rauschenbach and Joachim Kersten, three renowned Arno Schmidt reader, will read "Windmühlen" and "Großer Kain".

We also announced our edition of Arno Schmidt cards that we will publish soon.

#7 Arno Schimdt gone

For our last advertising column we chose to show Arno Schmidt's empty workspace and his bookshelves. Like his rooms aren't in use anymore our column soon won't be in use either. To take this photo Florian Schunk and Felix Schöppner went on a trip to Arno Schmidt's house in Bargfeld.

The evening of the 11th of November we had our final event. Jan Philipp Reemtsma, Bernd Rauschenbach and Joachim Kersten read "Windmühlen" and "Großer Kain". Afterwards we had the first and last Arno Schmidt banquet.

To sum up the whole year we published an edition of Arno Schmidt cards, with pictures of all the different columns and subjects.
